Over the last 16 years donations have truly transformed what we can do as a charity enabling us to work with more young people providing outdoor learning opportunities enabling them to reach their potential and have a brighter future.
** £10 can cover the costs of three meals, food and drinks for a 24 hour voyage
** £25 can cover the cost of Agored Cymru Qualification in Teamwork, providing workbooks, independent verification, certificate and support from our Youth Worker
** £135 can cover the full costs of a 7 hour voyage (1 day voyage) for one young person. Waterproofs and lifejackets are provided as well as food and refreshments & training.
** £250 will enable us to provide a fully funded 3 hour structured shore-side session with up to 15 young people focusing on an introduction to life onboard, understanding STEM subjects and Ocean Literacy in real life situations and learning about microplastics
**£500 can help contribute to our monthly running costs. Running costs are one of the most important elements of running a charity as it helps keep the lights on and our doors open. It enables our youth worker to undertake our outreach and speak to schools, youth workers, groups, home schoolers and individuals, it enables us to train our volunteers, it enables us speak to young people who might be anxious about coming onboard our boat and answer the phone to our enquiries, it enables us to go out and find further funding to enable us to deliver more activities and make our voyages more accessible – any amount towards our running costs can make a huge difference.
There are a number of ways to make a donation to Challenge Wales.
Now that Challenge Wales is closing, any donations will help contribute to our bursary fund for the last few voyages in September that young people joined us on but couldn’t afford the full cost, and running costs for the office and boat as we work to closing down the charity. Donations will be accepted up until 31st October 2025.
