ADULT ONLY ADVENTURES

You can’t get closer to wildlife and the outdoors than on Challenge Wales. We’ve had whales breach alongside us, we’ve had dolphins, porpoises and seals swim alongside or with us (in UK waters) and we have been stargazing when we have been doing night sailing.  Some of our voyages are specifically marine focused while others are delivery voyages – helping us get the boat from A to B and helping you gain more experience and putting plenty of seamiles under your belt.

Our voyages will be suitable for adults aged 18 – 85 years (although some voyages may have age restrictions) and are part of our adult only adventure programme. These voyages are also suitable for solo travellers, couples or friends!!

LANDS END CHALLENGE - 19th - 29th September |Cardiff to Gosport (which will split into 2 legs if you can't join us for the full 10 days!)

A 10 day experience that will include 60 mile passages, night sailing and working a watch system as we sail the boat down the Bristol Channel around Lands End, into Plymouth and then sail the Solent before finishing in Gosport. This voyage is a fantastic trip if you are looking towards your next sailing qualification or wanting to refresh your skills. It is planned for an
evening meal ashore on one evening which is at the participants own expense.

However, this voyage is being split into two. So if you don’t have sufficient time off available to do the full voyage then come and join us for the first or second half.

Itinerary:
Leg 1: Join Friday 19th (7pm) in Penarth (near Cardiff), you are welcome to join the Skipper for dinner at your own expense in the local pub at 5.30pm. It will be an early wake up call as we will be locking out of Cardiff at 5.30am on Saturday 20th. With either a visit to the wildlife haven of Lundy Island or the quintessentially Cornish town of Padstow on route we will then head around Lands End so you can depart Wednesday 24th September at 10am in Plymouth. If you are staying onboard for the full trip you will have free time in Plymouth or you can just relax on the boat but you will need to sort out your own lunch and evening meal ashore.

Leg 2: Join Plymouth Thursday 25th September (4pm) and enjoy a boat cooked evening meal together. We will explore the Solent and you will depart Gosport Monday 29th September at 6pm. If you are staying onboard between Leg 1 and 2 you can stay onboard overnight and we will provide a breakfast for you but you will need to sort out your own lunch. You are welcome to stay an extra night on the evening of Monday 29th September if you wish at no extra cost to help travel arrangements getting home but you will need to find your own dinner. There are lots of places to eat including in the nearby Gunwharf Quays at Portsmouth Harbour and the Lightship in Gosport.
*As with all sailing voyages, weather conditions will determine our passage and port stops. Please bring a passport – although visiting an overseas port is not guaranteed.

Cost – £795 per person (for the full voyage 19th – 29th September) | £475 per person (for Leg 1 – 19th to 24th Sep OR Leg 2 – 25th to 29th Sep)

If you have seen this voyage prior to 19th August, the voyage finish port has changed. This was previously advertised as the Fastnet Challenge
